“Very friendly staff. Quiet and cheap.
Out of the way from all the expensive caravan parks.
Lots of space for bush walks. ”
“This is a great, safe camp that is very fairly priced with great caretakers.
The facilities are basic as it is a scout camp, but very clean and tidy.
There are indoor areas with a small kitchen, fridge, toaster etc..
I stayed here for 6 nights and will definitely stay there again on my next trip there. ”
“I camped at this place with my kids and friends and found the location to be beautiful but the place was not maintained properly. Toilets were dirty and virtually no showers and other facilities. Camp office was filthy and so was Brian who owned the place.
Brian does not know how to talk to people. He is not helpful. ”
“Do not go to this camp ground, it is appalling. Brian's greeting when we arrived and asked where we could find Brian was "who wants to know", charming. Then he said "well I guess I have to put you somewhere, but you can't be by the river, there's advertising over the weekend and I make more money from that than camping". He put us in a spot on a hill 2m by 2m with broken beer bottles in the fire place and a bull ant nest in the middle. We didn't stay. Dont waste your time with this place.”
“I took about 80 girl guides to this venue and found it sadly lacking. It was poorly maintained and not clean; the stove was rusted, the coldroom leaked water onto the floor in the kitchen, the toilets had no paper, we found food scraps in the rooms. It is obvious the caretaker dosnt clean them out after each group leaves - not recommended!”
“i came here for my year 7 camp a few years ago and it was so fun. i would come back any time. Great place to go.”
“Children thought the camp was "cool" and "awesome" and the the food was "yummy". They really want to go back again when another camp is on.”
“Hi my name is Ben and i love going to different camps and trying them out and no joke this was an awsome camp!!
This camp really gets people to realise what it is like to get the ultimate camping experience!!
I rated this camp highly because it was so easy to organise, the place was ready when we arrived and also the camp owner Andrew Gruntovs was there when we arrived to give us the keys. He told us about anything we needed to know about the area and what is good to do at camp.
It has all the facilities you need to have a great time, such as table tennis tables, pool table, a massive oval and Lake.
The feature i liked most about this camp was its massive lake!!
I love canoeing on the lake, it's crystal clear and a great experience.
Thanks to Andrew for having our group we enjoyed every minute up there.
