Water leak under paved driveway was located quickly after prompt arrival, certainly recommended.

We can see why Hidden Valley Forest Retreat is constantly fully booked! We stayed in Stone Stable Cottage and it was a little slice of heaven secluded in our own private forest.

The room and bathroom was extremely clean and had everything we needed including the fireplace all set up ready to use upon arrival. We had more firewood delivered to our door the next day. There was in fresh milk in the fridge and a mini dishwasher for convenience.

I had a 2 hour massage and facial booked with Deb who came to our room, she was so lovely and professional and I felt like a new person afterwards.

They have really thought of everything and we couldn’t fault it.

Thank you to Tim and Lily for the beautiful stay, it was just what our souls needed.

This was the best four days of my life. True relaxation surrounded by forrest and lakes. It makes you appreciate our beautiful state of Western Australia! Thank you Tim and Lily for an amazing experience.

Beautiful get away - very isolated and natural bush

We spent 2 nights in Deepwater Retreat for our 10th wedding anniversary this weekend and it was absolute bliss.

Everything has been thought of…the kitchenette is extremely well stocked for the size, I could not believe what they managed to get in the small space. Toiletries included were lovely quality and ample. Underfloor heating in the bathroom and heated towel rail is a great addition. The spa bath (with shower) on the deck was so indulgent. The whole place inside and out was clean and given you are in the middle of the bush, all cobwebs etc were cleaned away. Daily firewood drops were much appreciated. All the little extras that are often missing from some of the super expensive air bnb’s we’ve stayed in were there and the fresh native flowers were a beautiful intimate touch.

We thought it was good to mention that when the website states you have a private lake and jetty it means completely private!! Only Deepwater Retreat has access to it which is a huge bonus. I have never stayed anywhere like it. For our first holiday alone since having twins 7 years ago we couldn’t have chosen better.

Such a beautiful place and stay. Romantic place to connect and unwind

We came to recharge and what better place to have done this then at Hidden Valley. Sally and John were very friendly and mindful of giving us a private and relaxing time.

We were in an Eco Lodge which had everything we needed to relax: a nice spa, back deck and isolation.

We were a little disappointed with the housekeeping (which was a change of linen and soaps every two days) but I'm sure that if we had asked, they would have vacuumed. On a positive note, they will make sure you are absent when they come through, making sure to safeguard their guests privacy.

A great spot for a retreat.

We recently stayed at the Forest retreat just this weekend gone. Upon arrival Lily greeted us, and gave us a surprise upgrade to another cabin. What a treat. Fantastic location, superb cabins, and a delightful stay overall. Would 100% return again.

Beautiful setting, everything we needed and more in the chalet. Just had the most perfect New Year escape.

We stayed here while on our honeymoon and I wish we didn't have to leave.

There was some confusion when we arrived about what Eco Lodge we had been allocated and as someone who likes to know exactly what's going on, I was grateful that we were able to drive back to reception to easily sort it out. Despite this, we had a wonderful time! From the fireplace having been set up so we just had to light it to the thought put into the layout of the lodge to ensure privacy, Tim and Lily have done an excellent job.

We found the property easily situated in the Dunsborough/Margaret River region and we enjoyed an afternoon exploring Dunsborough before a dinner booking.

We would definitely recommend Hidden Valley Forest Retreat for anyone looking to relax and spend time in the tranquility of the surrounding bushlands.

The owner was so pleasant and helpful with any queries, very welcoming :) The place was wonderful...wood fire...the outdoor hot tub....and a friendly night with several visits from Mr P..(the possum). We had the most beautiful stay. My partner proposed on the deepwater retreat deck and it was truly beautiful. Honestly can’t imagine a more amazing place to get away.

Breathtakingly beautiful from the moment you arrive you know you are in for a treat. Wow factor 5 stars on all accounts you will be spoilt rotten during your stay here too many fabulous things to list but I must say the bird life is outstanding all day you can hear their chirping it’s very special indeed.

Tim & Lilly were fantastic to communicate with and assisted us with our enquiries promptly.

Wood fire kept us cosy during the cold winters evenings the outdoor spa is always spectacular listening to the sounds of nature enjoying a nice glass of wine.

We actually went for a walk about 5 ks the next morning leaving the property and just walking along the road it was so peaceful.

All I would suggest in this particular chalet is a couple of hooks to hang your towels or dressing gowns on while using the outdoor spa and a small outdoor table positioned on the bottom decking with the bench seat would have been nice to put our cheese platter on whilst relaxing on the bench seat listening to the sounds of the kookaburras.

Will be back to stay in one of the other chalets.

Definitely a return customer.

This was the most beautiful getaway imaginable. my fiance and I were meant to get married but due to covid we had to post pone. Staying here made everything feel better. We had the most romantic and relaxing getaway.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The room was stunning. There was new firewood provided daily and the fire was ready to be lit when we first arrived.

Housekeeping was provided half way through the stay (which we didn't expect and left it a mess... SORRY!) but it was lovely coming back to such a clean room with fresh towels and bedding. They even did the dishes which was lovely but we felt guilty for leaving it.

Having coffee and breakfast on the deck chairs was amazing, hearing the birds and trees was fabulous.

The bath on the deck was the greatest. it was so nice sitting out there at night, listening to nature and having a warm bath. the shower was so cool. somehow having a shower and looking out into nature was even more relaxing.

The price was well worth it for the amazing experience.

We will definitely be going back.

What a delightful beautiful place to totally unplug. We felt like we were a million miles from anywhere. The owners are such friendly people who go out of their way to make your stay perfect. We will be back.

Everything we could have asked for and more!

My husband loves camping, myself not so much - Hidden Valley Forest Retreat gave us the best of both worlds! Hubby got the seclusion and nature that he was craving, and I got to enjoy these along with having the comforts that I need haha.

Tim & Lily really have thought of everything with the cabins, providing everything you could need whilst you immerse yourselves in the beautiful surrounds. They provide all the information you could need before arriving and are available if you need them, otherwise they leave you be to enjoy your holiday, unobtrusively topping up your firewood daily as needed.

The property is beautifully set out with each chalet situated for complete privacy, and you get the joys of being serenaded by all the various bird life each morning and afternoon, everything from magpies, 28 parrots, kookaburras and the Baudin's Black Cockatoos even paying us a visit one morning. As you drive to your cabin you will often spot the bunnies and a couple of roo's hanging about near the top gate, but the highlight of the wildlife for me was the 2 visits we got from the Local Possums - trip made!

Perfectly situated no more than 30 minutes from Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret River, the exploration and daily adventure options are endless.
