Our family of 4 had a fantastic extended weekend staying in Gumnut cottage. The cottage itself has everything you need for a home-away-from-home, including barbecue, dvd's, books and games for the kids, a good sized mini-fridge and a hair dryer. It even has aircon, which is rare in accommodation in this area. We didn't get to try the indoor fire but will return in winter. All was clean and tidy, presented exactly as the photos, child-friendly and child-safe. The cottage was also far enough from others that the kids were able to venture 50m into the bush without disturbing the neighbours. Evenings on the deck with the sun setting through the trees were absolutely magical.
Deb and Brian were very welcoming, meeting us in person to direct us to our cottage. They were excellent guides and helpers as the children enjoyed the morning's animal feeding. It was the highlight of the day for the kids and got the day off to a great start. The animals are all very happy and obviously well looked after.
We will definitely be back.
We parked our van overlooking the dam you can swim in. We were self contained but looks like toilets and a camp cooking area available. Quiet in a valley setting, owners were great and helpful, they sell homemade jams and fresh honey , water and
ice=creams. Kids would love the alpacas and roos. dog friendly on a leash.
Very nice experience! Owner are friendly, chalet is cossy. Especially, my kids love there. They love to feed animals and cuddle them. Thanks again. Hope to stay there one day again.
We stayed for 3 nights in Ballingup Heights in Blythe cottage. My wife and I booked the cottage online as we wanted a peaceful place after a 3-day hike from N.Cliffe to Pemberton. The offer was very good as we had a deal for 3 nights weekday special. We received a warm welcome from Brian. As part of the deal, we received a perfect breakfast hamper upon arrival and a lunch voucher at the cidery in Bridgetown.
The cottage was cozy and looked stunning from outside as well as inside. It had everything from an outdoor sofa, BBQ, a small fireplace with wood provided inside as well as extra outside (it was a very nice touch to see that it was all ready for us to light upon arrival). The room was equipped with everything you would ever need including the kitchen, games, books, a TV with DVD's (although we never even switched it on, who would need it with such a beautiful place and view was stunning from the bed). The bathroom was very clean and had all amenities provided. One of the highlights of our stay was the misty mornings with a view of horses grazing on the hill. It was worth waking up a bit early to see this sight. We also loved the visits from Maddie (owner's dog) during her rounds around the farm. Overall we had a perfect stay and exceeded all expectations. Can't wait for another stay and will highly recommend the place to anyone who wants a getaway from the busy city life.
What a positively stunning get away location! I had read where we were booked into but the website just can not convey how beautiful a place it is. The pictures can not do it justice, you really need to experience it for yourself.
Loved our holiday at Lewana Cottages. Beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, gorgeous cottage. And no internet/mobile reception was actually one of the best features. So great to be "off-grid" for a while. We'll be back!
Had a magnificent experience here. Sparkling clean cottage, breathtaking views.
Beautiful cottages in a scenic location. Deb and Brian were very accommodating, helping us find a nice part of the Bibbulman track to walk and dropping us at the starting point.
The fire was setup and ready to light as we arrived which was a nice touch! Highly recommended.
Great location, tranquil place, kids had lots of fun in the forest andfeeding the animals. We have been staying here several times and will again. Thanks to Deb and Brian.
Just perfect - quality, clean, homey cottages - kind, friendly hosts and lovely animals - breathtaking views at a great location - HIGHLY recommend it
After being warmly welcomed we were amazed at the cottage (Kimba). The food basket was splendid and the views to die for. Will be recommending this place to all our friends
We have been coming to Lewana for years as a group. Jayne and Mark make all cabins available solely to us so as not to disrupt any other visitors looking for the peace and quiet that Lewana is so good for. The facilities are amazing for groups. The cabins have seen improvements every year. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. Obviously we respect the space which has a rich heritage and common sense and appreciation of Lewana doesn’t make it hard to have an amazing visit. A number of improvements further protect visitors which is also appreciated. We at the HOGS wish Mark and Jayne everything of the best for Lewana.
Hidden gem. Beautiful view and surroundings. One of the best cheese, of course because of its quality you have to pay a little more, but worth it. Dogs not allowed, must stay in vehicle.
We have just stayed a week in the Bush Cottage. The cottage was so well equiped it came as a big surprise, everything you needed was there and more ! It was also very comfortable and the Webber was a bonus . The cheese was most enjoyable and we ate far too much ! Our hosts were so friendly and helpful too and we were permitted to stroke the animals and watch the sheep being milked. The weather was 40%c so we were very happy to find a split system in the house too. Can thoroughly recommend for anyone seeking peace & quiet to relax
Thank you Phil and Tricia. Always so wonderful visiting your amazing nursery. Love the selection of plants and today the loads of soil. The sweetest strawberries I've tested for ages. Thanks again Phil. I'm coming back for the garden mix❤🌱❤
*** A very pleasant stay break in an exceptionally beautiful spot! -- Highly recommended! ***
Magical, peaceful and relaxing stay. What a haven in this pandemic time.
Our first visit to this wonderful cottage. Delightful views, cosy timber cottage, stunning landscape...just wow!
Thank you Deb and Brian for making our stay so relaxing, everything has been prefect. We love everything, from morning animal feeding, just walking around the property particularly at the "secret garden" to just sitting and feeling the tranquility of nature at the scenic lookout. Simply amazing!
We will definitely return to enjoy your beautiful home and hospitality, Again, thank you so much!
