Highly recommend John. He cheerfully lent me a replacement TV for the week he was diagnosing my TV’s problem. It was a rare glitch in my TV he worked on and insisted he would only require payment if there were no more problems - which turned out to be the case. He was friendly, professional, generous and helpful throughout all my dealings with him. He advised me all the way through about all the options available to me. I’ll wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

Funky shop with a fair selection of Vinyl 12inch. U need to go see what they have in stock. The stock turns over quickly. Mixing, live or recording these dudes are defiantly worth a look

What an amazing store this is and an old institution in Newtown. It's a quaint set-up with wide range of used and new vinyl records, cassettes (yes, I mean, retro cassettes!), used books, etc. This is the place to go if you're looking for local, Australian home-grown music. Best of all, the friendliest guys working here with umptious knowledge who will help with the most challenging and trivial questions. I absolutely love browsing through their massive collection. They also accept your old vinyl and cassettes (I offered them mine for free, great recycling I suppose). Rumour has it that Elton John shopped here whilst touring Australia! Support local business, a must in this challenging time.

Great record store. Plenty of variety and well priced. They don't rely on expensive reissues like many of the other stores in Sydney. All the various sections (in particular punk, metal, experimental and nz/oz) are very well put together with interesting titles. The book selection is also worth checking also especially for art, photography and classic fiction. Staff are sound too.

Reasonably priced records and a good mix of different genres. The electronic section was a bit lacking but found a couple that I like anyway!

A great place to buy records and probably the best range in Newtown

Great range of music and books. But given how tight your book aisles are, it's not a great idea to have books strewn all over the floor. Not all your customers are steady on their feet and may fall (I tripped twice!) and hurt themselves.
