Well equipped and very calm on Wednesday morning.
I like going here to use the sauna and steam room, but sadly they're restricting people to just two to use the sauna, spa, and steam room. Because of the fake covid.
So many staff members - doing zero . Front counter staff was crowded and all ineffective
Weight equipment - not great , but not bad either
No basic Pec Dec (the basic most.effective chest exercise ) .
Not covered in mirrors - very good
I tried entering with my fitness passport and the vast number of staff couldn’t get it to work and wanted $20 cash . I instructed them how to fix it and was eventually allowed entry !!! Phew !!! The countless number of counter staff just didn’t seem to care . They were busy doing “nothing “
There are more staff than users at this time . Owned by Hurstville council ??? If so, this place needs an efficiency expert . The number of staff standing / sitting doing nothing was beyond a joke . And I went during weekday lunch time .
Rate payers of Hurstville need to ask questions - this place is just a white elephant money pit . It can run on half the staff they use .
The pool was basically empty, but had done kids. The water slide was closed ... Why ???
The public music played had rap music littered with F$ck and the “N” word . Very family friendly (not)
Staff one star - the gym equipment three stars
The gym is just above average , but a lot better than Menai fitness first
I called and checked whether you have warm pool for childrens. It is cold
Love the friendly food court ladies.
Inge and Sue. Service with a smile.
What more to ask.
I've been critical of the cleanliness of this centre in the past, especially the toilet and change facilities. The centre has recently reopened after a long closure through Covid and renovation process. Things have improved but I'm interested to see how the facilities are maintained longer term.
One of my friends from high school go there to work
Joining this swimming pool and sports one-year membership place for the first time, joining the mechanical sports has an arrangement to instruct the coach, my coach is a young lady named Ariani Sugiarta, she is verykind and very careful guidance, she is police enough to give me confidence, arranged for me There is progress and all employees are kind, sol give them 5 stars。
Great place to swim the staf was rood when asked to open the new sliding doors to be able to get to the lockers and change with the cold weather wasn't the best reaction that was expected. When she said you need to dry off first. What this is not a swim center
Nice service. I will come back to play badminton again.
Great friendly and understanding staff, all show professionalism and well trained in their departments. Cafe food and coffee is amazing and fresh.
Great equipment, with excellent lockers and change room facilities. Even the car park is beautiful. The STAFF are fantastic...knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.
Modern and clean 25m pool (not super chlorinated which is nice). No 50m pool which is a shame though. Spa and sauna are closed due to covid which is understandable.
I have been here for many years now.
Always enjoyable and feel amazing when I left!

11 Nov 2024Finding yourself stuck with a malfunctioning garage door can be both frustrating and stressful. Whether you’re dealing with a broken spring, a faulty motor, or any other issue, knowing what to do next is crucial. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to handle garage door emergencies safely and explain why professional garage door repair services are essential for long-term solutions.
Understanding the Emergency Release Cord
The emergency release cord, usually a red cord hanging from your garage door opener, is your immediate solution to exit a stuck garage. Pulling this cord disconnects the garage door from the automatic opener, allowing you to manually lift it. Before you do:
Ensure Safety First: Make sure the area around the door is clear to avoid injury.
Avoid Forcing the Door: If the door is stuck due to severe damage like broken springs or tracks, do not force it open. This can lead to further injury or damage.
The Dangers of DIY Repairs
While the emergency release cord can help you in a pinch, attempting DIY repairs on complex issues can be hazardous. Components like springs and motors are under high tension and require specialized knowledge and tools. Mishandling them can result in severe injuries or further damage to your door.

Bannister In Home Care - Aged Care Provider
15 July 2024Reduced Self-Management Fees at Bannister In Home Care: Empowering Clients with More Value and Freedom
Bannister In Home Care is committed to providing exceptional support and care to seniors and older adults with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and comfortably at home. As part of this commitment, Bannister In Home Care is thrilled to announce a significant reduction in fees for clients who choose to self-manage their home care packages. Effective immediately, the self-management fees have been reduced to an attractive 15%.
This reduction is designed to encourage more clients to take advantage of the self-management option, which offers a multitude of benefits, including increased control over their care plans and greater financial flexibility. By lowering the self-management fees, Bannister In Home Care aims to empower clients with more resources to allocate towards the services they need most, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.
Increased Financial Freedom
One of the primary advantages of self-managing a home care package is the potential for significant cost savings. With the reduced fee of 15%, clients can retain a larger portion of their home care funding, allowing them to spend more on essential services. This means more money can be directed towards personal care, domestic assistance, social companionship, transport, meal preparation, and respite services.
Enhanced Control and Flexibility
Self-management offers clients the freedom to make decisions about their care, providing them with a sense of autonomy and empowerment. Clients can choose their preferred care providers, schedule services at times that suit them best, and tailor their care plans to meet their unique needs and preferences. This personalised approach ensures that clients receive the most suitable and effective support, enhancing their overall well-being.
Improved Quality of Life
By reducing self-management fees, Bannister In Home Care is not only making care more affordable but also encouraging a more client-centered approach. The additional funds available to clients can be used to enrich their daily lives, whether it's through increased social activities, enhanced mobility support, or better nutritional care. This holistic approach to home care promotes physical, emotional, and mental well-being, enabling clients to lead more fulfilling and independent lives.
The decision to reduce self-management fees to 15% underscores Bannister In Home Care's dedication to providing high-quality, affordable, and personalised care. By making self-management a more attractive and viable option, Bannister In Home Care is helping clients maximise the value of their home care packages, ensuring they receive the support they need while maintaining control over their care journey. This initiative is a testament to Bannister In Home Care's ongoing commitment to enhancing the lives of the seniors and older adults they serve.

Self-Managed Home Care vs. Plan Managed: Weighing the Pros and Cons
When it comes to in-home care, individuals and their families have two primary options to consider: self-managed home care and plan-managed care. Each approach carries its own set of advantages and disadvantages, making it important for individuals to evaluate their needs and preferences before making a decision.
Self-Managed Home Care:
Pros:
1. Flexibility and Control:
Self-managed home care allows individuals to have greater control over their care arrangements. They have the freedom to choose their own care providers, tailor their services to specific needs, and coordinate schedules that best suit their lifestyle.
2. Direct Engagement:
With self-management, individuals have more direct involvement with their care team. They can communicate their preferences, provide input on care plans, and build personalized relationships with their caregivers, fostering a sense of comfort and trust.
3. Cost Efficiency:
Self-management often results in cost savings as individuals can negotiate service rates and eliminate overhead costs associated with an agency. This allows funds to be redirected towards additional care or other essential expenses.
Cons:
1. Administrative Burden:
Self-managed home care requires individuals to take on administrative tasks such as hiring and managing caregivers, handling tax obligations, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. These additional responsibilities can be time-consuming and overwhelming, particularly for those with limited resources or knowledge.
2. Lack of Backup Support:
In the event of a caregiver's absence or emergency, self-managed arrangements may present challenges in finding immediate replacements. The responsibility to address gaps in care falls solely on the individual or their family, potentially causing disruptions in continuity of care.
Plan Managed Home Care:
Pros:
1. Professional Guidance:
Plan-managed home care offers the expertise of care coordinators who assist in navigating the complexities of arranging and managing care services. They provide valuable guidance on finding suitable caregivers, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and coordinating care schedules.
2. Administrative Support:
With plan-managed care, individuals can rely on the care agency to handle administrative tasks such as payroll, taxes, and legislative compliance. This relieves the burden of paperwork and administrative responsibilities, allowing individuals to focus on their well-being.
3. Backup Support:
In the event of caregiver unavailability, plan-managed home care providers maintain a network of qualified substitutes, ensuring uninterrupted care delivery and peace of mind for individuals and their families.
Cons:
1. Limited Autonomy: Plan-managed arrangements may limit individuals' ability to choose their preferred caregivers or customize care arrangements to their specific needs. The agency's policies and guidelines dictate the available options, potentially reducing the sense of control and personalization.
2. Higher Costs:
Utilizing a plan-managed home care agency often incurs higher expenses due to administrative fees and overhead costs. While some individuals prefer the additional support, others may find it challenging to absorb these extra expenses in their care budget.
Ultimately, the decision between self-managed home care and plan-managed care relies on individual factors such as personal preferences, available resources, and specific care needs. Whatever choice is made, the primary objective remains consistent: ensuring a safe, comfortable, and tailored in-home care experience.
