Had a much needed massage with Nicole today. Excellent experience. Totally relaxed.
I had a 1.5hr remedial treatment with Nicole and it was pure bliss. Nicole has excellent knowledge working with patients who have chronic pain and other conditions. I do recommend that you book in to see her for a remedial massage and you will feel better than you did before you arrived.
Well equipped and very calm on Wednesday morning.
I like going here to use the sauna and steam room, but sadly they're restricting people to just two to use the sauna, spa, and steam room. Because of the fake covid.
So many staff members - doing zero . Front counter staff was crowded and all ineffective
Weight equipment - not great , but not bad either
No basic Pec Dec (the basic most.effective chest exercise ) .
Not covered in mirrors - very good
I tried entering with my fitness passport and the vast number of staff couldn’t get it to work and wanted $20 cash . I instructed them how to fix it and was eventually allowed entry !!! Phew !!! The countless number of counter staff just didn’t seem to care . They were busy doing “nothing “
There are more staff than users at this time . Owned by Hurstville council ??? If so, this place needs an efficiency expert . The number of staff standing / sitting doing nothing was beyond a joke . And I went during weekday lunch time .
Rate payers of Hurstville need to ask questions - this place is just a white elephant money pit . It can run on half the staff they use .
The pool was basically empty, but had done kids. The water slide was closed ... Why ???
The public music played had rap music littered with F$ck and the “N” word . Very family friendly (not)
Staff one star - the gym equipment three stars
The gym is just above average , but a lot better than Menai fitness first
I called and checked whether you have warm pool for childrens.It is cold
Love the friendly food court ladies.
Inge and Sue. Service with a smile.
What more to ask.
I've been critical of the cleanliness of this centre in the past, especially the toilet and change facilities. The centre has recently reopened after a long closure through Covid and renovation process. Things have improved but I'm interested to see how the facilities are maintained longer term.
One of my friends from high school go there to work
Joining this swimming pool and sports one-year membership place for the first time, joining the mechanical sports has an arrangement to instruct the coach, my coach is a young lady named Ariani Sugiarta,she is verykind and very careful guidance,she is police enough to give me confidence,arranged for me There is progress and all employees are kind,sol give them 5 stars。
Great place to swim the staf was rood when asked to open the new sliding doors to be able to get to the lockers and change with the cold weather wasn't the best reaction that was expected. When she said you need to dry off first. What this is not a swim center
Nice service. I will come back to play badminton again.
Great equipment, with excellent lockers and change room facilities. Even the car park is beautiful. The STAFF are fantastic...knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.
Great friendly and understanding staff, all show professionalism and well trained in their departments. Cafe food and coffee is amazing and fresh.
Modern and clean 25m pool (not super chlorinated which is nice). No 50m pool which is a shame though. Spa and sauna are closed due to covid which is understandable.
I have been here for many years now.
Always enjoyable and feel amazing when I left!

14 July 2026# Can You Renovate a Sydney Kitchen for $10,000 in 2026?
Can you renovate a Sydney kitchen for $10,000 in 2026? In some cases, yes — but only if the layout stays unchanged, the kitchen is compact, and the budget focuses on practical improvements. In most cases, $10,000 will not cover a full custom renovation with layout changes, premium finishes, new appliances, and several trades.
## What Can a $10,000 Kitchen Renovation Cover?
A $10,000 budget may work when:
* The layout stays the same
* Plumbing and electrical points remain in place
* Appliances are reused
* Practical finishes are selected
* The kitchen is small
It may cover cabinet door replacement or refacing, a laminate benchtop, an updated splashback, a new sink and tap, fresh paint, improved lighting, and minor installation work.
This approach suits apartment kitchens, investment properties, pre-sale updates, or kitchens that still function well but look dated.
## Keep the Existing Layout
Keeping the current layout is the best way to control costs. Avoiding plumbing relocation, structural work, and major electrical changes allows more of the budget to go toward visible improvements.
New cabinet fronts, updated surfaces, better lighting, and small storage upgrades can make the kitchen feel brighter and easier to use without a full rebuild.
## Are Flat-Pack Cabinets Cheaper?
Flat-pack cabinetry may appear affordable, but installation, benchtops, splashbacks, plumbing, electrical work, trims, fillers, and finishing labour still add to the cost.
Compare the complete installed price with custom kitchen cabinets before deciding. In some kitchens, better-fitted cabinetry may offer stronger long-term value.
## What $10,000 Usually Will Not Cover
A $10,000 kitchen renovation will usually not include:
* Full custom cabinetry
* Major layout changes
* Plumbing or gas relocation
* Structural work
* Premium stone benchtops
* Major appliance upgrades
* A full family kitchen remodel
It is better to treat $10,000 as a refresh budget rather than a complete renovation budget.
## Where Kitchen Budgets Blow Out
Common causes include changing the layout after quoting, upgrading finishes, forgetting demolition and disposal, underestimating labour, hidden plumbing or electrical problems, and failing to allow a contingency.
A clearly defined scope is essential. Before selecting finishes, decide what level of renovation the kitchen actually needs.
## When $10,000 May Not Be Enough
A cosmetic refresh may not be worthwhile if the kitchen has a poor layout, damaged cabinets, limited storage, outdated services, or changing family needs. In these cases, saving longer, staging the work, or planning a full renovation may provide better value.
## How Kitchens4u Sydney Can Help
Kitchens4u Sydney can assess what should be kept, what can be reused, where to prioritise spending, and whether flat-pack or custom cabinetry suits your home.
A consultation can help you understand what your budget can realistically achieve before you commit to the wrong scope.
## Final Verdict
Yes, you can renovate a Sydney kitchen for $10,000 in 2026, but only with a controlled scope. It may suit a cosmetic refresh, compact apartment kitchen, or simple flat-pack project with limited trade work.
It will usually not cover a full custom renovation. However, with realistic planning and careful product choices, $10,000 can still create a noticeable improvement.
## Frequently Asked Questions
### Can I get a full custom kitchen for $10,000?
Usually not. This budget is better suited to a refresh, compact kitchen, or tightly controlled flat-pack project.
### What is the best use of the budget?
Focus on cabinet fronts, benchtops, splashbacks, lighting, and minor fixtures while keeping the layout unchanged.
### Is flat-pack always cheaper?
Not always. Installation, plumbing, electrical work, and finishing can increase the final cost.

Correct Connect Air
8 Aug 2025A clean air filter might seem like a minor detail, but it plays a major role in maintaining your air conditioner’s efficiency and lifespan. Despite its small size, neglecting this component can lead to serious performance issues, system strain, and costly repairs, especially during those hot summer days when you need your cooling system the most.
Why Airflow Matters: Understanding Static Pressure
When your air filter becomes packed with dust, pet dander, and other airborne debris, it restricts the airflow within your HVAC system. This restriction leads to an increase in what HVAC experts call static pressure the resistance that air encounters as it circulates through the ducts.
Higher static pressure forces your system’s blower motor to work harder than necessary, which not only spikes energy consumption but also accelerates wear on components like the fan, capacitor, and internal wiring. Over time, this extra stress can lead to overheating and system malfunction.
Coil Freezing: The Hidden Threat of Poor Air Circulation
Reduced airflow due to a clogged filter doesn’t just impact energy usage it can cause your evaporator coil to freeze. This component relies on a steady stream of warm indoor air to maintain the right temperature. Without it, condensation on the coil can freeze, gradually turning into a block of ice.
Symptoms such as weak airflow, inconsistent cooling, or odd noises may not signal a major mechanical fault often, a simple filter replacement is all that’s needed. Left unaddressed, however, frozen coils can cause the entire system to shut down.
Energy Costs and Comfort: What a Dirty Filter Really Costs You
When your AC has to work harder to compensate for restricted airflow, it runs longer and uses more electricity. This results in higher power bills and uneven cooling across your home. In multi-room houses, you might notice some areas are significantly warmer than others—an issue often seen after a new air conditioning installation in Sydney if the filters aren’t properly sized or suited for the system.
Maintenance Tips: How Often Should You Replace Your Filter?
To keep your system running smoothly, check your air filter every month. Depending on usage and household conditions, like pets or allergies, filters should be replaced every 1 to 3 months.
For systems with reusable filters, be sure to wash and fully dry them before putting them back in. Damp filters can become breeding grounds for mould and bacteria, circulating unhealthy air throughout your home.
A comprehensive air conditioner service in Sydney will include filter checks and ensure the correct fit and airflow compatibility for your specific unit.
Experiencing Poor Airflow? Start With the Basics
Don’t assume the worst if your air conditioner seems less effective. Reduced airflow, strange noises, or unusual pressure from vents could simply mean it’s time to change the filter. Jumping straight to refrigerant leaks or motor failure can lead to unnecessary expenses.
Scheduling a professional inspection as part of a routine air conditioning Sydney maintenance plan can help identify such issues early and prevent more significant damage.
Final Thoughts: Simple Care Goes a Long Way
Ignoring your air filter can lead to expensive consequences—but the good news is, it's one of the easiest components to maintain. Regular replacement or cleaning not only extends your system’s lifespan but also helps cut energy bills and ensures even cooling throughout your home.
