Great service. Last week a local plumber told us we would need to replace the drum or possibly the whole leaking solar hot water system. Steve came today and replaced a valve and we are all good with our existing 18 year old system. We might just get a few more years from it. Cheap Hot Water has been looking after my hot water needs for many years. The couple of times I have used them they have been exceptional with the work being done with a minimum of fuss and by gentlemen. What more can you ask for.

These guys are awesome . I found them about 2 years ago by accident ,when I bought an apartment with a busted hot water system . I guessed I'd need to replace it, and it would have been obvious to them that I don't know about plumbing. Andrew just tested and rewired the fuses and it was fixed! What a brilliant experience using this company. Our landlord needed to organise a repair or a new hot water system and it’s after 9am on a Friday!!! This company’s communication and deliverance of excellent and informative service was a delight. Everything was done an dusted like clockwork, clean, tidy and I wasn’t left guessing about anything.

I spoke with John who first inquired then advised me extensively on numerous available alternatives and their pros and cons respectively, taking into consideration my family usage and lifestyle. When his team member Steve turned up punctually onsite to provide a detail quotation the same afternoon, he exhibited the same enthusiasm and impartiality that I experienced earlier with John. Both gentlemen’s impartiality and honest advice convinced me that I needed not shop further. My family had a brand new hot water system installed the next morning. Whilst I have no benchmark on which to measure Cheapa’s price, I am sold not on its price but the team’s professional and honest approach to their work. I happily refer Cheapa to anyone who needs hot water system help of any sort.

Diagnosed & replaced hot water cylinder, with general advice as well. Very competent plumber with good workmanship. Obviously experienced. However, we discovered afterwards that his quote was very very expensive, about 35% more than the standard rate. Not “cheapa” at all! Also, we asked for a like-for-like replacement and he actually installed a lower powered cylinder. Overall, technically excellent but we feel ripped off.

Edit: Prior to leaving this review, we reached out to the business by email with no response. However, the business owner made contact following this review, expressed that he did not see that email, and has offered to install the higher-powered heater unit at no cost to us.

Fortunately for me, a friend, upon hearing what another major Plumbing Company was going to charge me for a hot water tank replacement, urged me to phone Cheapa Hot Water. Previous company had quoted over $4K. Cheapa did the job for much less saving me thousands. And the job was very well done. No complaints.
