There are not enough words to describe the amazing location of Yalbaroo. We stayed in the gorgeous converted accommodation, and it far exceeded our expectations. The location is obvious - it is stunning and peaceful however, what sets this place apart from other accommodation is the attention to detail. The options on cutlery and crockery, cooking appliances, coffee, bathroom essentials, blankets, seating areas and the list goes on. There are ample provisions of books, games, puzzles and DVD's.

The fire pit and cinderella carriage was gorgeous.

The hosts are lovely, and provided the perfect balance between making us feel welcome, but giving us privacy.

What made our stay even more wonderful was being surrounded by the natural calls of the birds throughout the day and the joy of watching a small working farm tend to the cows. We got to see how the cattle are treated for parasites, and the rounding up as they were moved to different parts of the property.

We even got to see the introduction of a new cow, back into the herd, ready for mating.

A truly magical place! We will be back.

We emailed on a Friday on the off chance there was some space for us over the weekend - Ben got back to us really quickly and booked us in for camping with no fuss. The campsite is set on beautiful land, Ben and his family were all extremely welcoming and attentive. Had a great time with gorgeous views all around, great stars at night and a lovely campfire both nights thanks to firewood bought from the farm which was amazing value for money! We really enjoyed feeding the animals too, and will remember this stay as a gem during our Aussie road trip!

This has been the most amazing weekend away that I don’t want to go home. The cottage is so secluded and picturesque and has everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. Feeding the farm animals was such a highlight and learning about the farm from the hosts who bend over backwards to make sure you have a great stay. We will definitely be back as I can’t wait to bring others and experience it during the cooler months. Well done Yalbaroo Retreqt !

Such a tranquil and relaxing experience was our stay at this Scenic Rim Retreat. It’s family owned and run and the whole family makes you feel like you’re at your home away from home.

We had a wonderful time camping with a group of friends, stayed a little longer, and had the place to ourselves. Ben and his family were the perfect hosts.

We loved our stay here. The attention to detail and the little things really made it. I loved the outside camping area, and they provide hot choccie, marshmellows and a bottle of champagne or beers to make it even better.

Was so nice walking around the property and also sitting at the outside seating area and watching the wildlife

Cannot recommend this place enough. Teena, Ali, Ben and the kids are so friendly and down to earth. The cabin is absolutely perfect for a getaway. Nothing needed but food and drinks. The running creek at the back was our favourite spot to cool off and relax. This will definitely become a regular for us and even more of a bonus, it's dog friendly! 😍

This was the most welcoming, spectacularly clean little retreat which we enjoyed exceedingly! Everything thought of, every need catered for - all blended in with natural country charm

We absolutely loved staying at Yalbaroo! We stayed 3 nights but could have easily stayed longer! Such a great farmstay with family. We did no devices and just enjoyed being in beautiful surroundings, having family time and getting back to the simple things in life. Fed the cows, went for a bushwalk (did a circuit of the whole farm, great views from up top), played board games/card games, enjoyed the lovely swing, toasted marshmallows & enjoyed the beautiful firepit area! Loved the fresh eggs for breakfast too! We went with our 3 girls aged 16, 14 & 11. We slept in the cabin & the girls outside in a tent. Highly recommend this place! We stayed here for 3 nights a few months ago and had the best time. It’s taken me a while to write this review but we enjoyed it so much we made sure to remember to write one! Yalbaroo is nice and peaceful and thoughtfully put together. Racheal and Ray are fantastic hosts and we hope to be back some day.

This place will not disappoint whether your looking for an amazing location to go horse riding or just a quite place to relax and unwind. Rachel and Ray go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need plus more before you arrive and they you are left to explore at your own pace with plenty of freedom to make your holiday and time your own. We had a great little adventure as Rachel zoomed us around on the buggy to point out a great riding loop. Both the horses settled in straight away with the great comfortable stables and day yards. I can not recommend Yalbaroo enough and we can’t wait to go back.

Wow, this place is absolutely beautiful. We stayed for 3 nights on this beautiful property and found it very easy to unwind and relax in this stunning countryside, especially sitting by the fire pit listening to the birds. The host’s, Rach and Ray, were 5 star. Rach went above and beyond making sure our stay was seamless, she has honestly thought of everything! There was everything you need for cooking a BBQ by the fire pit, making a stunning cup of coffee with local milk to a little Mrs and MR care package with stunning local soap.

Take a walk around the property or better yet, if you have any horse, bring them along with you. They have fully equipped stables and the resident horse, RED, would love a visitor.

It’s a very private place with stunning views, perfect if your needing a little recharge. You will not be disappointed!

My hubby and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was absolutely fantastic. We're city folk and needed to get out into the fresh air and peace n quiet and that's definitely what we got. So, so quiet.

Ray and Rach were so welcoming. We even got some wee treats on arrival which was a lovely welcoming touch.

The place is setup for only 2 people, and that's what's brill about it. Your closest neighbour is literally the cows in the paddock and RED, the horse (see my photos - I don't think she should've been eating the leaves).

We spent most of our time in the screened verandah area and in the 'carriage' by the firepit. Just superb. The place is so NEW, therefore everything's new, with all the mod cons, fully equipped with all you need. There's even utensils, sauces, oil etc ready for your BBQ. Ray and Rach have thought of everything!

Remember too, if you have horses they accommodate them too! The barn's just as classy as the retreat. Your horse/s will love it. We went for walks on the property too and there's some incredible views. You'd see so much more on horseback though.

So to all of the couples out there that need your own private getaway, book this place. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. It's going to be our go to! Pictures tell a 1000 words so check them out.
