The company were so helpful. And Harry was amazing! He went above and beyond. He fixed the problem with the stove so quickly. And then on his own time he managed to patiently climb his way through a dense bush of bamboo to rescue a little chicken that had got herself stuck! I don’t know what I would have done without him. We bought a SMEG dual cooker from Harvey Norman on 18 May. They organised the installation of our cooker using Maroochy Gas & Solar and Southern Cross Power. Both parties arrived punctually, were friendly and super efficient, worked pleasantly and cooperatively with each other, and cleaned up beautifully after the cooker had been fitted. They also explained the features of our new cooker in an understandable way and took the old cooker away for disposal. Thank you everyone! It was a happy experience.

Following a potential recall of our caravan's Swift oven, we were advised by Harry Uebergang from Maroochy Gas & Solar that we would require 2 thermocouples to ensure the gas jets would remain lit when activated. Thankfully, our oven was not subject to a recall after all but in the process of replacing the parts, unfortunately, Harry had damaged the oven beyond repair while attempting to gain access to the inside of the unit. Considering the van was only 3 years old, we were not looking forward to the prospect of paying for a new oven. However, to our surprise, Harry immediately offered to replace the oven and re-installation at his own expense and without question. We have since discovered that this brand of oven is notorious for the difficulty in gaining access to the inside of the unit to perform any repairs so we certainly don't believe this was due to any carelessness on Harry's behalf.

Although a replacement unit was eventually purchased at cost price from Option RV Caravans in Victoria, (thanks Phil & Lench), Harry immediately set about refitting the unit once it had arrived on the Sunshine Coast. In addition to this, Harry also issued a free gas certificate as well as replaced a garden tap fitting that required re-welding at the main pipe stem, to compensate us for the inconvenience.

In all of our dealings with Harry, we found him to be courteous beyond belief, helpful, resourceful and so honourable in accepting we would require a new oven. Too many operators would have merely walked away after taking your money and left you with a damaged oven to be ultimately repaired at your own expense. This remarkable young man has earned our deepest respect and is recommended to anyone that requires any type of gas work, whether for a home oven installation or caravan gas repair.

Needless to say, we wish Harry every success for the future and encourage you to put your complete trust in such a professional young man.

He completed four separate jobs for us, and each one was done incredibly well. He always turned up right on time, was always friendly, and completed the work really fast.

He even found other small things that needed fixing along the way and repaired them for no charge.
