Martup pool rest area on the main Albany not well sign posted blink and you would miss it. Pretty stop but no toilets

I am Starting work there it was my fist time in a meat works ever. I was shocked at how nice it was ("considering") it didn't smell bad, it smelt like meat. Not guts and gore.

Also the staff where lovely i feel like they took there time with me and assessed my capacity before throwing me in. So I am excited to learn all the jobs and get to know the other workers. Its very multi cultural everyone seems happy to be there.

The animals are treated with respect and they face Mecca during there final moments.(I dont understand the halal principles) so they are un aware as they have had a quick shock to the brain which makes them pass out.

Theres a awesome canteen a prayer room and smoking area.

Your work clothes get washed for you.. your supplied all equipment including knives hair nets gloves etc....

Open space. Tidy and clean. Nice spot to stretch your legs and run the dog.

After hearing about Martup Pool we decided to spend a weekend here. It is truly a hidden gem especially if there was a bit more water in the pool - we found no mozzies in January. Next time after rain we will bring kayaks and mozzie repellant (just in case). Great rest stop 1/2 way between Albany and Perth.

Friendly man got heaps of good stuff. Go on spend ya money there it keep's the store open. So support the locals.

Looks like just another place to pull over and rest for a bit on a long drive ... But get out of the car and take a short walk down the track to find the hidden gem of Martup pool with a fire pit, a bit of history and lots of nature. So glad I took the walk

Great area just off highway, plenty of room for a number of caravans.

I was driving back from the city, I just needed time out. I drove in a bit further and found a very pretty spot with running water. I felt revived after being there for 10 - 15 minutes
