Driftwood Photography completed my special day. Looking through the photos made me feel every moment again. As you will find out, the day goes so fast. And Tom captured every single moment and emotion.

Tom was super chill, and he didn't try to control any situation. He just gave us ideas for photos, Which was perfect for my husband and me, as we are not used to being in front of the camera. In every photo, you can see how naturally happy we were.

Now the only hard part is choosing which photo to print!

Tom photographed our wedding which was held in Gnarabup, Margaret River in March '22. We aren't local so didn't meet Tom until the day of the wedding, but he is so easy going and friendly that we felt instantly comfortable! Tom's style of photography is exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. He gave us direction, but still allowed us just to be ourselves and forget the camera was there. He captured us in the most beautiful, raw, funny, emotive and heartfelt moments, the images we got back are far beyond what I could have ever imaged! He got all the important stuff, the ceremony, couple photos, speeches, the cake cutting and the party pics, but just as importantly the hidden moments of us and our friends and family that we didn't even remember! It was amazing being able to look back on our album and relive our day in such detail. Having Tom as your photographer is an absolute investment - we could not have been happier with our decision to hire him and are truly grateful for his amazing service and talent.

Tom at Driftwood Photography is extremely talented and I am so happy we chose him to photograph our wedding. He captured hundreds of candid moments that portrayed perfectly just how amazing our day was. We weren't that keen on cheesy poses as a couple and a bridal party so I was stoked at how Tom operated. We got a teaser within days of the wedding and then our full album a month later which was awesome. The link to access the photos was so good because we could choose favourites which went into a separate album, share with others easily and download medium and/or high res images. Aside from that he's just a good bloke and was it was fun having him around. Thoroughly recommend Driftwood!

We just love how natural the photos look. I didn’t have much correspondence with Tom before the wedding and I really didn’t need to. He managed to capture our personality perfectly just from listening at the ceremony. The little things Tom did such as borrowing a couple of fishermen’s rods to use as a props after he heard all the ‘fishing promises’ in our vows absolutely made our day!

It was always going to be a risk booking someone from the other side of the world to capture the best day of our life. But it was a risk that 100% paid off! Tom made it an enjoyable experience. It was relaxed, I think there were a few times we forgot we were with 4 other people and got caught up a little in the moments. Tom caught us all naturally, and beautifully. We had photos taken in 3 different locations before heading to our reception lunch and Tom knew exactly what he was doing. Our photos are a dream and we had fun making them happen. Tom was absolutely fantastic in shooting our wedding for us at Wise Winery. He listened to what we wanted and worked within our limited shooting time that we had allowed. We really just wanted him to do his thing and capture the moments from the day that we would actually look back on. On the day many of the guests commented that they barely noticed that we had a photographer and how nice that was. During our couples shoot he made us feel relaxed and gave us a bit of space so we could enjoy the moment and celebrate that we just got married. The end result was we got some beautiful pictures that didn’t feel structured or uptight. Nothing screamed classic wedding, which is exactly what we wanted. There are some beautiful portrait pictures mixed in with some wide shots that look more like art.

If you are looking for something out of the wedding box and want something that is a bit more raw and real, then I couldn’t recommend Tom more. A photographer really can ruin the day but Tom’s calm professional attitude is really felt and you know you're in good hands.
