You don't need to scramble to get your machines into the workshop before June 30 just to get an EOFY deduction. There's a much easier way to play it.

Right now, Kingy’s Diesel is letting you prepay a deposit for upcoming Major Inspections before the financial year wraps up. You claim the deduction now, but you have a full 12 months to actually bring your equipment in.

Whether you need the work done in August or late next year, this puts you in control:

✅ Tax Benefits Now: Cash in on this year's deductions.

✅ Zero Disruption: Keep your machines on-site and working while it's busy.

✅ Peace of Mind: Your mandatory compliance work is locked in and paid for.

With Major Inspections averaging around $50K, putting down a deposit before June 30 is a highly effective way to manage your cash flow and tax bill.

NOTE: This is general information only and does not constitute financial advice. Please consult your accountant or tax advisor to confirm what’s right for you.

If you would like to take advantage of our EOFY prepay options, or if you're in need of diesel machinery repairs, maintenance or inspections, then please call us on or visit our website to learn more.

Recently, a Sunshine Coast tree management business brought their Monitor EWP into our workshop for its scheduled quarterly inspection. What initially appeared to be a standard service quickly uncovered a much larger scope of work required to keep the machine operating safely, reliably, and compliantly.

The Challenge

During the inspection, several critical issues were identified that required immediate attention. The customer needed a fast turnaround to minimise downtime and avoid disruption to ongoing projects.

The Solution

✅ Undercarriage overhaul, including replacement of all bearings and tracks

✅ Repairs to resolve basket electrical faults causing recurring overload cut-outs

✅ Comprehensive engine servicing and general maintenance repairs

By managing all aspects of the project under one roof, we were able to keep the job moving efficiently without delays between trades or suppliers.

The Result

Despite the significantly expanded scope of work, the entire project was completed within the original timeframe and budget.

The machine was returned to the customer fully operational, allowing their crews to get straight back to work without further interruption.

When you’re inspecting and repairing cranes north of 300 tonnes, there’s no room for guesswork. These machines demand serious technical knowledge, strict compliance standards, and a team that understands what’s actually at stake.

Kingy's Diesel Industries has worked on some of the biggest cranes in the country, including:

✅ 280T Liebherr crawler cranes in remote on-site environments

✅ 300T cranes requiring full mobilisation and demobilisation, major repairs, inspections and fleet repair/service support

✅ Large multi-machine fleets ranging from 100T through to 250T across multiple brands

This is the kind of work where shortcuts get exposed quickly. Our focus has always been doing the job properly, from detailed inspections and compliance through to rebuilds, diagnostics, repairs and long-term fleet support.

Whether it’s a major inspection, component change-out, fire suppression installation, full-life rebuild or ongoing maintenance program, we help keep heavy equipment operational, compliant and site-ready.

A recent job for Structasteel is a good example of how quickly a standard inspection can turn into something far more involved and why having the right team matters.

The machine came to us for a routine compliance inspection on a telehandler.

During the assessment, our team found that the unit also needed a full major inspection to remain compliant and safe.

Our team conducted the major inspection, identified all required repairs and maintenance items, and managed the entire process to get the machine compliant and back in service.

The end result:

✅ Major inspection completed on time

✅ Repairs and compliance requirements handled in-house

✅ Minimal disruption to the client’s operations

✅ No unexpected blowouts or unnecessary downtime

With telehandlers and heavy equipment, compliance issues are often discovered during routine inspections.

And when they are, you need a team that can move quickly, communicate clearly, and actually understand the machinery inside and out.

Crane borers sit in that category of equipment where small issues turn into big failures, fast.

You’ve got constant load through the slew system, wear in pins and bushes, hydraulic circuits that don’t forgive contamination, and structural components that have to meet compliance every time they go out.

It’s not just about getting them running. It’s about making sure they stay safe, stable, and certifiable under load. That’s where we operate.

We handle crane borers end-to-end. From inspection, fault diagnosis, structural and hydraulic repairs, and compliance-ready sign-off.

We’re looking at things like:

✅ Slew ring condition

✅ Boom integrity

✅ Hydraulic pressure stability

✅ Wear tolerances

✅ Anything that compromises performance or certification

Here's some photos of a truck-mounted unit brought into the workshop for assessment and repairs. We stripped it back, worked through the mechanical and hydraulic systems properly, and got it back out operating the way it should.

If you’ve got a crane borer that needs attention, or you're in need of compliance checks, diesel repairs, or inspections, then please call or visit our website to learn more.

EOFY is closing in — and if you've got a Major Inspection coming up, here's a smart way to reduce your tax bill without pulling a single machine off-site.

At Kingy’s Diesel, we’re now offering clients the option to prepay a deposit before June 30 for upcoming Major Inspections – yet still schedule the actual service to take place some time over the next 12 months.

Whether you're booked solid until August or planning ahead for Q4, this strategy helps you:

✅ Claim a deduction this financial year

✅ Avoid the scramble to schedule downtime

✅ Lock in your spot for major compliance work

Most Major Inspections come in around $50K – and even a deposit on that is a meaningful tax reduction if paid before June 30.

We recently completed a major project at a Queensland mine site.

The job involved removing, repairing, and reinstalling a 55T non-slew crane boom, which is the largest of its kind in the world.

Here’s how we approached it.

1. Onsite removal

Our team mobilised to site and handled the full boom removal ourselves, ensuring it was done safely and efficiently from the outset.

2. Specialised repair

The boom was transported back to our workshop, where we carried out high-level structural repairs using equipment and expertise that simply can’t be replicated in the field.

3. Onsite re-installation

Once complete and fully quality-checked, we returned to site to reinstall the boom and get the machine back to work.

The result:

✅ Structural repairs done properly, with the right equipment

✅ Reduced logistics costs compared to typical third-party models

✅ Downtime kept to an absolute minimum

Most providers can handle one part of a job like this.

We manage the entire process, including removal, repair, and reinstall, under one roof.

That’s how you get better outcomes without the usual cost and coordination headaches.

If you know us, you know we back people who show up, put in the work, and get it done, no matter what. That’s exactly why we’re proud to officially sponsor Callum Robson.

Callum competes on the World Surf League Championship Tour as part of the top 34 surfers in the world, and recently locked his place back on tour after winning the Pipeline event.

But this isn’t a new relationship.

We’ve been backing Callum since early in his career, when he didn’t have the big-name sponsors behind him. Just grit, talent, and a tight local support network.

Since then, he’s gone on to:

🥈 Finish runner-up at the 2022 Bells Beach Rip Curl Pro

🏆 Win the 2022 Gold Coast Pro

🇦🇺 Represent Australia on the world stage

Different industry. Same DNA.

Hard work. Commitment. Consistency.

Callum’s been in and around our workshop for years, and now he’s representing Kingy’s Diesel Industries globally. We couldn’t think of a better fit.
