Would definitely recommend and use again if the need arose.
I couldn't have been happier with the service from Brad at Element. He was on time, so pleasant and installed a new toilet and fixed a leaking tap with no fuss and no mess. I'm so grateful, thanks Brad.

Reliable, professional, on time and on the money. What more can you ask for? :-)
Thanks so much for saving my kitchen from a flooding disaster.
Brad and his offsider (sorry, forgot his name😢) were fabulous. Not only did they repair my leaking water filter, they prevented a major problem by checking the other taps and replaced one with another that has a 10 year warranty.
Very professional and friendly. Thanks again. ✅
I highly recommend Gary from Gun and Barrell! He’s so professional he came back a few times to Woodlands to check what was causing the leak after installing new supply pipes. Being the professional he is, he found the cause was from the silicone separating from the basin and bench. Thank you again Gary, you are a pleasure to deal with :))
Gary and his team were very professional, on time and managed to fix a number of issues with ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out for any plumbing issues as you will receive a great and punctual service. Thanks Gary and the team👌 …
I was impressed with the punctuality, efficiency and attention to detail and leaving the bathroom spotless after installing a new washbasin. I will definitely use him again if I need a plumber!
I can only recommend his services.
My house had a large noticeable leak which two plumbers failed to previously locate .
After calling Luke from Perth detection, he found the leak, quickly and successfully
I have never had such an amazing experience like I did with Luke & his team at Perth Leak Detectors . I had a burst water pipe that needed immediate attention, not only did they get to us within 12 hours of me calling them, another plumber who is a friend managed to sort it so we had water otherwise they would have been here that same afternoon. Not only was the plumber extremely knowledgeable, he actively looked around the property before damaging any floors walls or tiles to make sure we could repair and match the coverings that he would need to damage, whilst trying to locate the source of the problem, he then went on to find the leak and fix it, he also went as far as to reroute the pipes so that should the damaged pipe be compromised further along and water burst through again it could be accessed without any damage at all to wall or floor coverings. The plumber worked non stop for 8 hours straight and was very respectful towards my property and the pets at the property that at no time did I feel uneasy being the only one in the house with him. The quality of workmanship and knowledge makes Luke and his team standout over and above any tradesman I have ever had to engage…..I am not one to spruik but it just could not go unsaid how professional these guys were, which is a very rare in this day and age, and for any of my plumbing needs I will not be going anywhere else again……. Even the total cost of the works was much lower than I was expecting so all in all one of the most positive experiences I have had in a very very long time!!! Well done to Luke and his team 😊
We are a Body Corporate in Perth, Western Australia and for the last few weeks had water leaks in our underground pipes. I contacted Perth Leak Detectors and with their specialist equipement they found the first leak. However, with the aging pipes there were more leaks. Instead of walking away from the job (it now meant having to replace a 100m section of our underground pipe), Luke and his team made our job a number one priority and worked tirelessly for several days. No leaks now! Such a great feeling. Thank you, thank you!!!
An all round nice guy friendly & professional. Was recommended by a friend and would definitely recommend to others after a job well done. Thanks Gary🙂 …
I’ve used Gary’s plumbing services for various issues over the last 3 years - leaks, dishwasher, washing machine, plus a bathroom reno. He’s reliable, reasonably priced, friendly and professional. Highly recommend this business.
Absolutely fantastic service! Went well above and beyond! Highly recommend! Thank you once again!
I rang Luke late on a friday arvo thinking no chance any tradie will come out at this time but i explained i has a bad leak and needed it found and he came straight iver despite being on his way home. The leak was not easy to find and he kept at it till he found it. He then had one of his guys come do the repair first thing monday morning. I cant speak highly enough of Luke and his crew. Amazing service. Will never call any other plumber now that i have found him.
"Very Professional Company"
We had a very small gas leak which was noticed by a plumber after installing our outdoor kitchen. Unfortunately he was unable to locate it. I found Perth Leak Detectors through the web and from the initial phone call through to completion they didn't disappoint. Using some fairly fancy equipment, they promptly located the gas leak and repaired it on the spot. Job done.
If you want a professional team that know there stuff, look no further than these guys. You will not be disappointed.
Thanks Luke / Craig. Can't thank you enough.

20 Apr 2026Interior vs Exterior Painting: What’s the Difference and Why It Matters
Painting your home—inside or out—might seem like a straightforward task, but not all painting is created equal. Interior and exterior painting each require different techniques, tools, and preparation. The type of paint and how you prepare the surface can vary depending on the job.
Whether you’re searching for interior painting near you or planning to refresh your home’s exterior. Understanding the difference is highly important. This knowledge helps you make better choices and get results that last longer.
Paint Formulation – Designed for the Conditions
Interior paint is made for comfort and aesthetics. The formula resists scuffs, allows for easy cleaning, and offers low-odour, low-VOC options that are safe for enclosed spaces.
Exterior paint on the other hand, is engineered to handle everything the weather throws at it—UV rays, rain, humidity, and temperature changes. It needs to expand and contract with the material beneath it without cracking or fading.
Professional exterior house painters know that durability matters. That’s why they use paints with flexible resins that can handle temperature changes and movement. These paints also include additives that resist mould, mildew, and fading.
Preparation and Surface Conditions
Inside, painting often begins with sanding, filling gaps, and priming smooth plasterboard or gyprock. Outside, prep can involve pressure cleaning, scraping old paint, or repairing render and timber exposed to the elements.
Timing is essential. Interior rooms can be paint any time of year. For exterior painting, it’s best to choose dry, mild weather so the paint dries and sets properly.
Application Techniques and Finishes
Interior painters use rollers, brushes, or sprayers for smooth, even finishes on walls, ceilings, trims, and cabinetry. Common finishes include:
Matte or low-sheen for walls
Semi-gloss or gloss for trims and doors
Exterior painters typically use thicker coats and durable finishes like satin or semi-gloss to withstand outdoor exposure. The texture of exterior surfaces—brick, weatherboard, render—also calls for specific tools and methods.
Choosing the Right Household Paint
Household paint is not always suitable for all surfaces or applications. Using interior paint on outdoor surfaces (or vice versa) leads to poor adhesion, peeling, or quick fading. A trusted painter will match the product not only to the surface but also to the local climate. This is particularly important given Perth’s hot, dry summers and cooler winter conditions.
Interior and exterior painting each require a tailored approach to surface prep, paint type, and technique. Understanding the differences helps ensure your finish not only looks great—but also lasts. Whether you’re painting a bedroom or fixing up outdoor walls, choosing the right products and process makes all the difference.

20 Apr 2026When was the last time you really looked around your home? Sure, you probably think about pressure washing your driveway or footpath. But what about the areas you walk past every day without a second thought?
There are plenty of spots around your property that could do with a good pressure wash—and they’re easy to overlook. Mould, dirt, algae, and grime build up over time, and they’re not just ugly. Left alone, they can damage surfaces and even create safety risks.
Let’s take a look at some of the most overlooked areas that could benefit from a professional pressure clean, especially in a place like Perth, where the weather can be tough on outdoor spaces.
Outdoor Walls and House Exteriors
Your home’s walls cop a lot—dust, cobwebs, insects, and wind-blown debris. Over time, they lose that fresh, clean look. Whether you’ve got brick, painted render, or cladding, a professional pressure clean can strip away that grime and brighten things up. It’s a simple way to add curb appeal, especially if you’re thinking about repainting or selling.
Fence Panels and Gates
Fences are often neglected in cleaning, yet they collect just as much dirt and organic growth as walls. Whether you have timber, Colorbond, or brick fencing, a gentle pressure wash can clean the surface effectively. It removes algae streaks, bird droppings, and pollutants—instantly improving the look of your boundary lines.
Pool Surrounds and Outdoor Paving
Pool surrounds and garden paths are slippery traps waiting to happen. Algae and moss love shady, damp spots, and pool splashback can leave white chlorine stains on pavers. A concrete driveway cleaner or pressure cleaning services can sort this out fast—keeping your outdoor areas safe and looking great.
Bin Areas and Side Access Paths
Let’s be real—the side of the house is easy to forget. But that’s where the bins sit, where stuff gets stored, and where mildew and bacteria build up. A regular pressure wash keeps these areas clean, fresh, and far less grimy.
Patio Ceilings and Eaves
Patios are for relaxing, right? But when you look up, you’ll often find spiderwebs, dust, and insect stains clinging to the ceiling. A low-pressure wash is perfect for these delicate areas, making your outdoor spaces feel clean and welcoming again.
Garage Doors and Roller Shutters
Perth’s dry, sandy air means garage doors and roller shutters get dusty fast. A pressure clean not only improves the look from the street but also helps keep mechanisms running smoothly.
There’s more to a pressure clean than just driveways. Fences, walls, pool areas, and those forgotten side paths all deserve some attention too. A proper professional pressure cleaning service makes your whole property look better, feel safer, and last longer.
Looking for expert pressure cleaning services in Perth? Beyond Maintenance Solutions has you covered. Whether it’s a concrete driveway clean, a low-pressure wash for delicate areas, or a full exterior cleaning package, we’ll get your place looking its best—without the hassle.
