My name is Dennis "MEXO".

I've been in the Automotive industry for over 25 years, I grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney, and from a young age, I had a fascination with cars and bikes.

With older cousins heavily into the rotaries and V8s, it's no wonder I got bitten by the bug as well.

Starting my apprenticeship in the 90s I worked at an Italian workshop carrying out restoration work on Alfa Romeo and Fiat as well as the odd Ferrari as well as engine conversions on BMW and Mercedes, from there I went and worked at a general mechanical workshop for several years .before starting my own workshop in Sydney west, specialising in engine conversions and dyno tuning, after running this shop for a few years, I sold up and moved for a sea change, fast forward, I've now been on the central coast nearly 10 years raising a family and working for other workshops.

With my high level of skills and expertise, I knew it was time to go out on my own again and here we are today.

Exercise can be hard, but its not meant to be easy. It can seem monotonous, but repetition creates adaptation, and that's what we need to alter our body shape. Some exercises require focus, but its the attention to the detail that prevents us from getting injured, and getting the most from our efforts and time.

Training should be enjoyable. Perhaps not every exercise. But going to the gym should be something to look forward to. The pleasure in going for a workout can be influenced by many things. The music, the facilities, the trainers and of course your fellow gym users. At The Local Fitness Studio we build on a sense of community for our members when they come in to do a class or a workout. Much like when you visit your favourite café, and the barista knows your brew, and you share a waive and a chat with the local regulars. We aim for that same friendly feeling every time you come in for a workout. Because we know the feels of being a Local, in your Local. We also know that when you enjoy your workout, you'll be back, and the consistency of regular exercise is what achieves results. And that, is what we wish for you, YOUR RESULTS!
