About Mum and Me Fitness
Mum and Me Fitness Pty Limited was conceived in response to the lack of exercise products in the market for young children. With health and fitness on everyone’s agenda, there were a lot of products available for adults, however quite limited for children. As a new parent, I was introduced to the world of babies and infants, and to the many products that were available for that age category. However, whilst I was actively practicing my Yoga in the lounge room, my daughter was disappointed she was not able to join. The search for an age-appropriate product relating to her proved very difficult. As was the fact that I was not able to share this fulfilling experience with her.Hoping to impact families across the country in a similar way mumandme was born to expose children to the many benefits they will receive as a result of increased activity and a healthy lifestyle. While kids fitness it lots of fun, mumandme believes in addressing the serious issue of childhood obesity because its central focus is health and fitness for mums and their kids. It is a matter we are very passionate about. The purpose of the site is to encourage parents to instill good habits into their children early. Habits like healthy eating, exercise and fitness, whilst having fun doing it! The crucial part is for mums (and dads!) to get involved! Instead of just dumping them in front of the DVD, get into it yourself! – have fun, laugh, get energised and enjoy it! This is all about parents playing a role in their child’s health and fitness – with an added bonus – mums get fit as well whilst enjoying time with their kids.
