BEST FISH AND CHIPS ON THE COAST. Takeaway and General Store situated on the banks of the beautiful Clyde River. The clear, blue pristine river winds up from Batemans Bay through Nelligen, 8 k's away. We are a 7 day a week business which has been operating since 1935. We mostly do fish and chips, burgers, sandwiches, ice-creams, drinks and sell groceries, newspapers, fuel, ice, bait and tackle and the best Ducale coffee. We have the best position, with a deck overlooking the River, where you can sit under our big umbrellas and soak up the sun and the atmosphere. The business is run by 2 fulltime, and 3 casuals. We have a very busy holiday trade and weekend traffic is both local and Canberra and Sydney holidaymakers. The local kyackers train here every Thursday and Saturday and we have year round houseboats travelling up the river. Summer time the river is full of jet skiers, water skiers and fishermen who all come in to fill up and fuel up. We have the ferry which comes up from Batemans Bay every day, at lunchtime and we are 200m from the Boatramp which is only 1 of 2 entry points to the river.
