About Rachel Merton Music

Rachel has taught piano, percussion, and composition for the past 10 years and pays great attention to developing each students progress. Whether it be learning for leisure, or sitting an exam, Rachel assists students to become confident musicians. A full professional member of MTAQ, Rachel is available for lessons Monday to Friday. Day time lessons available for adults, as well as evening. Beginners welcome. Piano Lessons Styles: Classical, Piano for Leisure, Pop, Piano Exams or Fun Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Suitability: Children as young as 5, Teens, and Adults. Pricing: $35 for 30 minutes, $70 for 1 hour. ABRSM Trinity AMEB Composition Lessons Styles: Classical, Contemporary, Instrumental Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advance, Suitability: Children as young as 5, Teens, and Adults Pricing: $70 per hour. Type: Individual Lesson Ekstasis Ensemble formed in 2012 is a contemporary classical ensemble founded by Rachel Merton. The purpose of Ekstasis is to perform new works composed by Rachel, and workshop the pieces each week. Each season a concert will be presented to the community allowing audiences to experience fresh off the page original works. Based in Redland City, south east Queensland, Ekstasis is getting ready for their premier concert series for 2013. AUDITIONS If you are interested in joining Ekstasis, open rehearsals are held through out the year. A minimum of 5th grade examination of AMEB/ABRSM/Trinity or other examination board is recommended, or evidence of performance experience within community or professional ensembles.
