They are family. Say goodbye with love.
Angel Ashes is run by Melanie and Jason Salter, in Adelaide, South Australia, where they raise their family of children, dogs and cats. They provide pet owners a caring one-one-one service with the comfort that you will receive your pet and only your pets ashes. After a negative experience with a pet cremation service, Melanie was left holding an urn containing ashes she could only trust were those of her beloved fur-angel, Oakley-Bean. Her sense of peace shattered, Melanie wanted to provide pet owners with the comfort that had been taken away from her. In September 2013, the business expanded to Adelaide, allowing Melanie to offer more pet owners a personalised experience, with a caring, one-on-one service.

Mel & Jay
Mel started up Angel Ashes in 2008 in Portland, Victoria, with her friend and business partner, Faline Williams (who left the company in 2010). An animal lover all her life, and a strict vegetarian/vegan from the age of 15, Melanie is proud to provide pet owners with a dignified, loving, and trusted service, and treats every pet as if it were her own. Jason came to Angel Ashes in 2010 after he and Melanie were married. Also a passionate animal lover and vegan, he has become the backbone of the company and helped it to grow and expand.
Angel Ashes offer pet owners a personalised experience, collecting and returning the pet themselves with caring, one-on-one service, available seven days a week. They offer unique memorial items, such as plaster mould paw casts and keepsake jewellery. All cremations include a lock of the pet's hair tied in a white ribbon and a signed certificate of individual cremation.

“11.8.2014. Today our old german shepherd Max passed away and within 1 hour the Pet Cremation service came to collect our beloved dog. They handled him gently as he was a big dog. A couple of days later they bought max's ashes back. I have nothing but praise for the way they handled it as myself and my husband are in not in very good health. I would recommend them highly. ”
“A few years ago I took my dog to stirling for cremation. Could not fault them. Today took my mothers dog. I had to back the car to a gate, the dog was put on a metal trolley and wheeled away. A change of contact details for collection of ashes was written on the man's hand. Glad the vet had put her in a shroud cos the trolley only had a red towel on it to lay her on. Wish I had taken her somewhere else cos felt guilty leaving her there. ”

I would like to thank you for your personal caring service. I was so happy when I found out I could have Raffi back with me in 2 days. Your are wonderful. The wooden carved box is beautiful and the perfect thing to hold Raffi in.
Thank you for all you have done.
