The handymen employed by AUA to carry out work on the building over the past 10 years have done band aid jobs and the ongoing maintenance of the building has been of such a poor standard that major repair work is now necessary and will cost thousands of dollars to complete. I would not recommend this company to any body corporate committee.”

At a recent Committee Meeting a unanimous no confidence vote was passed due to David Yeates of AUA's "inaction and non-communication". I live in a different state to AUA and whilst I have had no contact with the Committee I have experienced similar problems with AUA services or lack thereof. AUA failed to allocate almost two thousand dollars in my body corporate payments for almost a year and ignored my correspondence until I threatened to go to the Office of the Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management.

    “xxx from Melbourne Body Corporate Management Chelsea/Frankston was extremely rude and difficult to deal with. His sneaky tactics were very disappointing.
    I tried to reason with xxx to hold our very 1st potential body corporate meeting at a reasonable time of day, however xxx would not be flexible at all and told me that the time was going to be at 4.30pm on a week day. When I asked xxx why he would not be flexible, he told me it was because he "Has a life!" xxx sent the minutes from that meeting out 17 days later. The maximum timeframe under the Body Corporate Act 2006 states that the minutes needed to be sent out within 14 days - therefore this renders the meeting null and void! xxx now needs to contact all of the other owners, and advise that a second meeting will need to be held at a more reasonable time.date, with dial in facilities.”
