    “We stayed ( 3 girls) in a studio apartment which was basic but clean, spacious, fully equipped with a nice veranda for smoking. Great Central Bondi area walking to the beach, pubs, coffee shops and parties. Very good rate for bondi - we had weekly rate. Nice roof top pool. we will be back in beautiful Bondi next Year!!!”

  • Ballantyne at Mosman Executive Apartments

    “BEWARE! I had booked 7 apartments in June'08 at Ballantyne to accomodate my relatives travelling from overseas to attend our wedding in Dec'08 (i.e. 6 months advance booking, plus I even provided my credit card details to "secure" the rooms as requested). My finace and I wanted them all together and close to the ceremony venue for transport convenience. So Ballantyne seemed the perfect solution. Unfortunately, 3 weeks before the wedding I am informed via email that Ballantyne have cancelled 2 of our room bookings because their "corporate" clients wanted to extend their stay into the period I had booked. So rather than honouring my booking, they gave preference to these "corporate" clients . They even said it happens all the time and they don't offer compensation of any sort for the inconvenience! (at least offer a discount on the remaining rooms). Anyway, this "cancellation clause" is not mentioned anywhere on their website. At least if they mention this possibility it becomes "buyer beware" and you know the risks before you book. Either way, it's just not good business practice!
    So I cancelled my remaining bookings because I lost confidence in whether they would honour the rest of my room bookings.”
