Alterations NOW

“Cannot do basic alterations. Returns clothing back without saying anything. When admits the quality is not right (shorter than requested, uneven hem that goes up on one side and has ripples so it doesn't sit flat, holes in fabric where she made a mistake), justifies it saying that it's hit and miss and sometimes things don't work!? It was a hem! Surely the customer should be told from the start if she is unsure of her ability to do the alteration. Disgusting service, amateur work.”

“I have been to five formals, wearing very expensive Sass and Bide dresses to each. Four of these dresses, I got altered from Eli's alterations and she did a fabulous job. You cannot even tell they have been altered, but they now fit perfectly.
Eli is very lovely, great customer service!”

“You need to be patient as the turnaround time varies greatly. My first shirt took a couple of weeks my next order almost two months and my suit was about the same.Quality is excellent, staff are great, just check their lead times as it varies. Overall a very happy customer!”

“I went to her to only change the skirt shape of my wedding dress. She made it very small and uneven instead so I could not wear it anymore. Also she she made the inner layers smaller than the outside layer which generate ugly pleats in the back. I left my wedding dress to her trusting in her skills since she accepted to do the job. She did such a bad job that I had to pay 300 dollars to fix what she did. ”

“I recently did the beginners sewing class with Nadine. It's amazing what she can teach you in such as short space of time! Her classes we well worth the money and offered great value, in 6 weeks I made a skirt, pair of trousers and a dress. I hope to return to the advanced class when I have had some more practice.”

“Failed to provide even the most basic customer service. I returned 3 times to this store to pick up items that were meant to be alterened, but they had not even yet been looked at. I can understand that things can get busy, a simple phone call to advise of progress would have saved much annoyance and frustration. Its a shame, my mother and her work collegues recommended this business for alterations, I will ensure that their future custom is taken to a more reliable provider. ”

I was recomended to go to Joseph Anthony and i was greeted by the happiest dudes in a flash shop who have treated me with respect and made me great clothes - a customer for life. I love now going into those stores when i am dressed up and think "wank*rs". ”
