I would like to point out that the whole experience was greatly affected by the installing, and not just buying. The Baldivis store seller, Gerard, is a very helpful, knowledgeable and kind person, however, the installer ruined it all for us. First, he appeared not fit for work, having issues with his back, and generally seemed to be in pain, but also claiming he would be ok to do the job. Then after some time, half an hour maybe, he said he couldn't finish. He asked me "how are my lifting skills", as to help him, or bring by myself (?!) my carpet from his van. Then he called the company to inform he was unable to finish the job, told me the job has to be re-scheduled and that someone will call me regarding it, and left. I lost a day of work. He left quite a mess, too. I called Gerard, the only contact person I had, as growing quite impatient, because they weren't calling. He intervened and finally a lady called me, apologising and re-scheduling for the next Monday. I was reluctant but ok, I took another day off work. He came on Monday, finished the job, leaving mess again, and when I asked him if I am to clean this, he stated "my mrs took the vacuum" . This is seriously unprofessional and a bit rude approach, pity that I was too slow to offer him to use my vacuum.... I think I will use someone else next time.
[edit]:
Well, thank you for your response. I do not wish my name to be publicised, not to mention you got the name misspelled anyway. I'm sure it's not quite ok to make customer's name visible to the whole world. But too late, I guess. I would like to point out, that I wouldn't put someone in danger and force them to work, I'm simply stating he shouldn't be working that day at all, he was in pain. And as for me, I lost two days of work, I'm casual, so nobody pays me for someone else's lack of professionalism.
