About RAAF Memorial Plaque
RAAF Memorial in memory of the eight RAAF airmen that tragically lost their lives in four planes crashes within 3 kilometres of the summit of Mt.Disappointment. The average age of the men killed was 23 years old. Seven lives were lost during the second world war and the last life in 1953. Memorial unveiled August 2021 by Friends of Disappointment.
