Mt Sheridan CARLYS massage is convenient and well priced but unfortunately all of their good massage people ( mostly on working permits ) have departed , so these days it’s “pot luck “ who you get and how good/effective it is. Maybe if they charged a bit more and paid their staff a bit
More they’d attract a better caliber of staff who knew what they were doing . So depends what your looking for , they still offer a service but not what it used to be like
Carley's Chinese Massage at the night markets is a bit of a Cairns institution, it's been operating forever! The price has gone up with inflation to $20 for a 40 min full body massage, but still a bargain. It's wroth noting a lot of the employees are backpackers, not professional masseuses. That said, I've never had a bad massage in the countless times I've been here. There's also very little upselling to snake oil and hot stones nowadays so feel safe. Highly recommended.
