Reception doesn't pick up phone and makes up excuses when you drive down there to make an appointment. Was on "hold" with the repeated "Next receptionist will be right with you" blah blah recorded message for 15 minutes, TWICE so thought it must be busy so I'll pop down as I NEED the appointment. Get down there(less than 5 minutes since last phone call attempt) and find all of 2 people in waiting room and receptionists too busy chatting and on the computer. Ask why no one was picking up the phone and was just met with "it's been really busy, you just have to hold the line" to which I replied "FOR 30 MINUTES?" then asked one of the 2 in the waiting room if that were true and he said he's been here for an hour and there's been maybe 3 people seen...
If you don't like your job RECEPTION, quit. Especially if it's medical related. People NEED these appointments and your TOO LAZY to pick up the phones and just excuse yourselves. You have ONE JOB, pick up the phone to make sure appointments are made/handled and you can't even do that. Not like it's hard either sitting in air conditioning all day... Good luck trying to get an appointment here, and I don't mean because they're totally booked or anything, but because they have lazy receptionists.
