About Heartbreak Trail
The 12 kilometre one-way Heartbreak Trail descends into the Warren River valley, following the river for a while before climbing back up the karri-clad slopes.
It is a gravel road that is very steep in places. It is not suitable for buses or caravans.
This steep track was built by hand to clear a path down to the river for fire fighters and the name reflects the hardship of the job.
The rapids of Heartbreak Crossing and the Warren Lookout are great stopping places along the trail. Tune into 88FM for more information on the area while at Warren Lookout..

Beautiful place to trek. Located in Warren National Park, the one-way Heartbreak Trail follows the river. We were here for the Gloucester Tree but ended up enjoying the trail very much. Would highly recommend to visit during wildflower season, you could see numerous beautiful flowers including Clematis.
