We had a lovely 4D3N stay at the Barn Studio. We like how tucked away it is from the bustling town and definitely a great retreat where you can do animal spotting even from within the house. It's just situated beside the national park so the kangaroos do come in closer in the evening. Clean and cosy place for some forest/nature bathing! :)

Wonderful hosts, lovely little Cafe on-site for breakfast, quiet calm location perfectly suited for exploring Margaret River and Augusta. The camp kitchen and facilities where immaculately clean. Will definitely return

Looks like a great cafe. Hard to find opening hours though... walked in sunday morning but they were closed. At least we got our exercise as we came 5kms 😅

Exquisite food and wonderful service!

Thank you for putting together an amazing weekend filled with laughter and fun for both adults and kids. Thanks to the talented crew that entertained us. We will be back next year for sure!

Recommendation

- More varieties of food trucks - with healthier options.

- more toilet blocks on site. (With needs to be regularly replenished with toilet rolls and water)

We had such a wonderful stay at the Margaret river retreat over the new year weekend. Sally and her team were so helpful and worked around the clock to make sure we were comfortable. Sonya was also so great and easy when it came to booking our stay and was very accomodating. Would definitely be back again

Update 10/2021: Popped in again for some more pies on the way home from Augusta. Still one of the best pies we ever had!!

Family and I were passing through karridale and in-need of some petrol. We popped in to this roadhouse to fill-up and upon entering the shop to pay, I couldn’t help but notice the amazing looking pies, sausage rolls, biltong and sandwiches!

Hand-down these have some to the best best pies I’ve ever tasted!

I had the lamb with vegetables, which was stuffed full of Chucky meat, carrot and broccoli pieces.

The curried beef was authentically made, Rich in flavor and fully of mince. This was no standard curry pie!

The beef mince pie was again stuff full of good quality mince and tasted amazing.

The sausage roll my youngest Had got two thumbs up from her, it had flaky pastry and wonderfully tasting meat filling.

My wife had a curried egg sandwich, which I also had half. Again top quality fresh sandwich with ample filling. Curried egg was perfectly flavored, the lettuce was crisp and crunchy.

Prices are fair, these are homemade pies and sausage rolls, nothing processed here!

Compliments to the cook! I highly recommend stopping by for a quick bite!

Excellent lodge for a function.

Our family had an amazing time at the festival after our daughter participated in the first week of training. Every interaction with Lou and the team was exceptional and the vibe across that first week and the festival was warm, welcoming and everyone had smiles. The Festival acts were all exceptional and we cannot wait for next year!

Worth paying a visit. Beautiful selection of plants.

Amazing Tour!!

We did the Forage on the Farm tour and it was such a down to earth experience and we loved how they use symbiotic relationships throughout the farm. The team were amazing, friendly, charismatic and full of local knowledge.

We can't wait to try their cooking classes 😍

If you need a beautiful property with space for a group this is it! We were a group of 4 couples and each bedroom offers luxury for all. There's no drawing short straws for the lesser room. The huge open plan kitchen - living - dining was perfect for creating any meal you desire and enjoying the evening with local wines. The views ever the dam are beautiful and the sense of tranquility is perfect. The outdoor spaces are beautifully set up with lounges, tables and rolling lawns. If you love nature there are lovely walking trails and if you're keen in some possum spotting, pack your torch. The only downside ( which can also be an upside for some) is no WIFI, especially give that mobile reception is almost non-existent. Of our group, 3 were small business owners and this meant trips into town to attend to daily tasks like paying our staff, daily banking and checking in with the team. Having WIFI available is pretty standard in various types accommodation we've stayed at in the area and throughout Australia. It would have been more relaxing if we had access to this. That said we would definitely return again.

We did the wine + food + farm tour and would highly recommend this unique experience that ticks all Margaret Rivers boxes. Tour guide (1 human + 1 sheep dog) was brilliant and invited all questions the group had, served brilliant wine and delicious homegrown/ local food. 10/10

We had a lovely wine tasting at the counter with Laurel. She made the whole experience extremely enjoyable and we would highly recommmend this winery! Looking forward to visiting again next time!

We had a fantastic time at the Margaret River Retreat. We stayed in the tents with our friends, which were clean and comfortable. The shower was clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. They greeted us with open arms and made us feel at ease. We will undoubtedly return to this location!

Beautiful bushland property that makes you feel instantly relaxed. We stayed in the barn studio with friends and our babies and it was perfect for us. The beds were super comfortable too! There were a few small things around the property that looked tired but I understand Nick is doing his best with no staff. Nick was very accommodating and friendly and makes great coffees ;)

Best pies I've had in Aus hands down (NZ pie conparing) Always a must have when I'm down there slaying kahawai (salmon) lol. Thank you for the mean feed🤙
